Body Contouring Before a Wedding: Your Goals, Your Occasion
Weddings have a way of bringing personal goals into focus. There is the outfit, the photographs, the people you may not have seen for years and, perhaps most importantly, the way you want to feel when the day arrives.
For some people, that includes body contouring.
The motivation can look completely different from one person to the next. A bride may have found the dress she loves but would like to focus on the circumference around her waist or arms. A groom may want to refine his shape before stepping into a tailored suit. Someone in the bridal party might have a particular style of dress they would love to wear, while a parent or guest may simply see the occasion as the motivation to finally explore something they have been considering for some time.
There does not necessarily need to be a dramatic transformation in mind.
You may already have a relatively slim figure and simply have a smaller, specific goal. You might be thinking about reducing circumference around the waist to create a little more definition through your silhouette, focusing on your arms for a sleeveless dress, or looking at the circumference of your legs for an outfit that shows more of them.
Alternatively, your goal may be broader. You may have noticed changes in your body over time and feel that an upcoming wedding is a good opportunity to do something you have been thinking about for yourself.
That is one of the reasons we see such a range of people considering body contouring around weddings. It is not exclusively about brides, nor does everyone arrive wanting the same result.
Making body contouring part of your wedding preparation
There are already plenty of decisions involved in preparing for a wedding. Hair, clothing, grooming, skincare, fitness and all the smaller details can become part of how someone chooses to prepare. Body contouring can simply sit alongside those choices.
At Verde Laser Clinic, our focus is non-invasive body contouring for body circumference reduction. Rather than beginning with an idea of what somebody should change, the conversation starts with what you would actually like to focus on.
That might be your waistline. It might be your arms, legs or another area relevant to the way you want to look in your chosen outfit. It may be a relatively subtle goal, or something you have been considering well before the wedding was even on the calendar.
The occasion can simply provide the motivation to explore it.
It is not only about fitting into a smaller size
Wedding-related body goals are not necessarily about reaching a particular number on the scales or fitting into a particular dress size. Sometimes it is much more specific than that.
You may already fit comfortably into your outfit but want to focus on how a fitted fabric sits across your midsection. You might be wearing a tailored suit and want a cleaner line through the torso or jacket. You may have chosen an outfit with a different silhouette from what you would usually wear and want to focus on an area that will be more visible.
For someone else, the goal may simply be to feel a little more refined in photographs or more comfortable in an outfit they are excited to wear. Those are personal choices, and there is no single “wedding body” that someone is supposed to achieve.
Supporting your individual goal
At Verde, we see brides, grooms, bridal-party members, family and wedding guests with different reasons for considering body contouring. Our role is not to decide what somebody should change. It is to understand the goal they bring to us, discuss the areas they would like to focus and create a treatment plan for body circumference reduction that's appropriate for them.
Based in Paddington, Brisbane, Verde provides non-invasive body contouring for people with a wide range of personal motivations. A wedding just happens to be one of the occasions that can make those goals feel particularly meaningful.
